Junior Marine Surveyor (Morocco)

About the role

RINA is seeking a Junior Marine Surveyor to join its Mediterranean and Africa Marine Division office in Morocco. The role supports the surveying team in ensuring maritime safety and regulatory compliance through routine inspections of classed vessels, platforms and marine structures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine surveys on classed ships, platforms or marine structures under the supervision of senior surveyors.
• Prepare accurate and timely inspection reports.
• Maintain orderly and up‑to‑date survey files.
• Stay informed of new working methods, regulations and industry developments.
• Recommend problem‑solving approaches and seek guidance from experienced surveyors.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a quality‑focused work environment.
• Interact with clients as directed, supporting problem resolution.
• Participate in training and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Naval Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in English relevant to classification and statutory certification.
• Ability to develop working knowledge of RINA rules, guides, statutory regulations and safety policies.
• Understanding of engineering plans and basic knowledge of shipbuilding practices and ship operations.
