Junior Test & Validation System Engineer (Embedded Systems)

About the role

ALTEN Maroc, a subsidiary of the global engineering and technology consulting firm ALTEN, is looking for a Test & Validation Engineer with strong experience in automotive embedded systems and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. The position is based in Rabat.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop test cases to validate automotive ECUs and subsystems on HIL platforms.
• Run validation campaigns to ensure compliance with system requirements and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HIL benches and regularly update simulation models and test scenarios.
• Develop automated test scripts in Python, CAPL or MATLAB/Simulink and integrate test cases into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results, provide detailed test reports (coverage, defect trends, validation status) and validate communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
• Ensure testing complies with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, OEM guidelines).

Required profile

• Intermediate experience (3 to 5 years).
• Hands-on experience with HIL testing tools such as dSPACE, Vector CANoe, NI VeriStand or ETAS.
• Experience developing and executing validation test plans and diagnosing root causes of defects.
• Strong English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, FlexRay) and related tools.
• Test scripting in Python, CAPL or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Familiarity with vehicle electrical and electronic systems (sensors, actuators, ECUs).
