Junior Translator / Interpreter (Non-Key Expert)

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Junior Translator / Interpreter to join its pool of Non‑Key Experts for a 36‑month project focused on communication outreach and engagement on EU policies across North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf. The role supports the DG MENA team by delivering high‑quality translation and interpretation services for a variety of institutional materials and events.

Key responsibilities

• Translate communication materials, reports, publications, presentations and other institutional documents.
• Provide interpretation services during meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars and stakeholder consultations.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency and cultural appropriateness of all translated content.
• Assist in the preparation and review of multilingual communication materials.
• Collaborate with communication teams to maintain clear and effective messaging for target audiences.
• Support terminology management and maintain consistency across project documentation.
• Facilitate multilingual communication during project events and outreach activities.

Required profile

• Degree in translation, interpretation or an equivalent qualification.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in the target language and fluent English.
• At least two years of general translation/interpretation experience.
• Minimum one year of experience translating or interpreting communication or institutional content.
