Lead Data Scientist

About the role

As a Lead Data Scientist at Leyton CognitX, you will drive data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. You will work in a fast‑moving environment that values learning, scale, and agility, collaborating closely with engineering and business stakeholders to turn complex data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze raw data, perform cleansing, and structure it for downstream processing to ensure data integrity.
• Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms using advanced machine‑learning techniques.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to bring analytical prototypes to production.
• Generate actionable insights to inform business improvements and optimize processes.
• Provide machine‑learning solutions that meet stakeholder needs, driving innovation and efficiency.
• Review and assess design proposals, offering feedback and optimal solutions.
• Develop roadmaps for new topics and proof‑of‑concepts, overseeing their execution.
• Ensure high‑quality design across DataLab projects through guidance and expertise.
• Automate data collection, aggregation, and visualization to produce actionable metrics.
• Work with a diverse team of collaborators, from interns to senior data scientists, to foster innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in data science, quantitative analytics, or data modeling with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java, R, and SQL.
• Experience with Big Data frameworks and data visualization tools.
