Legal Counsel – Morocco

About the role

You will be responsible for the company’s legal activities across the region, business units and sub‑function areas in Morocco and potentially multiple countries. You will support commercial and corporate initiatives by identifying business needs, designing and implementing legal strategies, and advising on risk while collaborating with other legal colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement legal strategies to support commercial and corporate initiatives.
• Advise business units on legal risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across Morocco and other jurisdictions.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and oversee legal spend without compromising financial or reputational risk.
• Partner with global stakeholders to monitor regulatory changes and provide guidance to managers.

Required profile

• Legal experience, preferably in a large multinational matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in risk assessment, advising, coaching and dispute resolution.
• High level of integrity and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Resourceful with new technologies and systems.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
