Legal Counsel – Morocco

About the role

The Legal Counsel will lead the company’s legal activities across Morocco, supporting both commercial and corporate initiatives. You will design and implement legal strategies, advise business units on risk, and collaborate with internal and external legal partners to ensure compliance and protect the company’s assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute legal strategies that enable aggressive competition while safeguarding people, assets and reputation.
• Provide guidance to managers on legal risks and ensure informed decision‑making.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel, overseeing spend and mitigating financial and reputational risk.
• Partner with business units, regional teams and global stakeholders to monitor and advise on applicable laws and regulatory changes.
• Deliver in‑house and external legal expertise to address complex legal issues across multiple jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Legal experience, preferably within a large matrixed multinational corporation.
• Strong analytical, strategic vision and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven track record in risk assessment, advisory, coaching and dispute resolution.
• Highest level of integrity, credibility and ability to communicate effectively.
• Resourceful with new technologies and systems; licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
