Logistics & Customs Associate

About the role

JTI is looking for a detail‑oriented Logistics & Customs Associate to ensure the timely, compliant and cost‑effective movement of materials and goods for its Manufacturing Services Department in Tetouan, Morocco.

Key responsibilities

• Manage international and domestic shipments of leaf, non‑tobacco materials, spare parts, machinery and finished goods.
• Coordinate daily logistics activities with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, Procurement, Planning and other stakeholders.
• Oversee customs clearance in line with Moroccan regulations, liaise with brokers and authorities, and resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Verify shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, certificates) and maintain audit‑ready records.
• Maintain shipment tracking tools, prepare logistics and customs reports, and monitor transportation, customs, storage and clearance costs.
• Support finance in processing logistics invoices, resolving discrepancies and handling freight accruals.
• Contribute to logistics, customs and factory KPIs and drive continuous improvement and cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Logistics or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics and customs‑related functions.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of supply chain management.
• Good understanding of Moroccan customs regulations and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
