Logistics Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager (m/f/d) to lead our logistics function within a manufacturing environment. The role combines strategic planning, operational execution and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure efficient material flow across the entire supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute logistics strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on efficiency, cost optimisation and service level improvement.
• Lead, develop and motivate the logistics organisation, fostering a high‑performance, results‑driven team culture.
• Plan, organise and control all logistics activities including material planning, warehousing, inventory management and shipping.
• Coordinate with production, suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee smooth supply of materials.
• Monitor and optimise material flow and inventory levels to ensure availability, reduce waste and improve working capital.
• Manage logistics KPIs (inventory, delivery performance, logistics costs) and drive continuous performance improvement.
• Prepare and present analyses, reports and performance updates to top management.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, process optimisation and digitalisation.
• Oversee logistics budgets, cost control and ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949), legal requirements and internal procedures.
• Act as key interface to customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders across all levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree optional) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in logistics/supply chain within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• At least 5 years of proven leadership experience managing and developing logistics or supply‑chain teams.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and relevant standards (IATF 16949).
