Maintenance Technician – Automotive Production Equipment

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures maximum availability and reliability of automotive production equipment, supporting safety, quality, and cost objectives. You will work on wiring harness production machines and automated lines in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on wiring harness machines and automation equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation failures, focusing on cable cutting, stripping, crimping, and connector assembly.
• Troubleshoot PLC‑based systems, especially Siemens PLCs, and maintain KOMAX wiring machines.
• Support workstations and End‑of‑Line (EOL) systems, including cameras, sensors, vision systems, and fiber optics.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis (5 Why, Ishikawa) and implement corrective actions.
• Record maintenance activities in SAP PM, managing work orders, spare parts, and preventive plans.
• Assist production start‑ups, changeovers, and ramp‑ups to ensure process stability.
• Apply 5S, TPM, and continuous‑improvement methodologies while complying with IATF 16949 and customer‑specific quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance role within automotive or industrial production.
• Strong knowledge of cabling and connector processes and mechanical adjustments (cutting, stripping, crimping).
• Familiarity with electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems (Siemens preferred).
• Experience with KOMAX wiring machines and EOL equipment (cameras, sensors, fiber optics).
• Proficiency in SAP PM for preventive and corrective maintenance.
