Manager, Global Awards

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Manager, Global Awards to provide strategic and operational award management across its worldwide programmes. The role ensures award funds are used efficiently, compliantly, and with high impact for children, while strengthening organisational capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on award, donor compliance and sub‑award management support.
• Lead and oversee a portfolio of globally managed awards, ensuring quality contracting, delivery and close‑out.
• Line‑manage Global Awards Advisors, prioritising work and monitoring performance.
• Collaborate with donors, country teams and global functions to ensure smooth award lifecycle management.
• Back‑stop senior award managers and support the Director of Award Management on risk and issue resolution.
• Build capacity of staff, improve internal processes and enhance efficiency.
• Respond to major humanitarian emergencies with flexible working hours.

Required profile

• Proven experience in award, grant or donor‑compliance management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small team.
• Strong collaboration skills with internal and external partners.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to emergency contexts.
• Ability to work remotely while aligning with GMT+2 meeting times.
