Manufacturing Engineer – Process Development & Equipment Integration

About the role

Aptiv is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its Manufacturing Engineering team. You will apply Lean principles to monitor equipment usage, design and optimise manufacturing processes, and ensure safety, quality and efficiency in an automotive production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, validate and implement automated testing and vision inspection systems for production lines.
• Develop testing methods for mechanical, electrical and functional product validation.
• Optimise cycle time, accuracy and reliability of testing and vision processes.
• Create preventive maintenance plans for testing and vision equipment.
• Specify, select and validate equipment and software, and collaborate with suppliers for integration.
• Train production and quality teams on equipment usage and troubleshooting.
• Ensure testing systems meet customer and internal requirements, support root‑cause analysis and maintain traceability of inspection data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with testing systems, preferably automation and machine vision.
• Knowledge of assembly technology and Lean manufacturing processes.
• Strong drive for continuous improvement and good presentation skills.
