Material Planner – Ensure Raw Material Availability

About the role

The Material Planner ensures that raw materials are available at the right time and with the required quality for production at Aptiv Morocco. Reporting to the Material Planning Supervisor, the role works closely with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor supplier anomalies and analyze material and component requirements.
• Send procurement programs to suppliers, specifying references, quantities, and expected receipt weeks.
• Analyze weekly WIP stock to identify overstock, shortages, or negative inventory.
• Detect and track production or engineering issues that cause stock shortages.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Clear orders weekly to avoid overstocking and verify goods receipt in the store.
• Manage obsolete references and evaluate supplier service quality.
• Maintain monitoring tables and QVC Wall updates.
• Follow up on critical components and monitor transport of goods.
• Manage material flow using MRP and SAP, deciding on transport mode in emergencies.
• Propose alternative equipment when original items are unavailable and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Reports to the Material Planning Supervisor.
• Works with shop‑floor, logistics planners, quality engineers, product managers, transport managers, and external suppliers.
