Materials Procurement Specialist

About the role

Magna is seeking a Materials Procurement Specialist to manage the supply of essential materials for its automotive seating systems. The role ensures that the right quantities of high‑quality supplies are available on time, while controlling costs and meeting production deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supply orders based on forecasts and production needs.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders with approved suppliers.
• Track deliveries, handle returns, and resolve disputes.
• Update inventory management systems and analyze supply requirements.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and cost targets.
• Collaborate closely with the purchasing department and other internal teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Initial experience in procurement, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating suppliers on price, delivery time, and payment terms.
• Autonomous, rigorous, and responsible with good customer‑relationship abilities.
• Ability to work in a team, manage emergencies, and operate in a manufacturing setting with varying temperatures, noise, and physical material handling.
• Fluent in French and English.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
