Materials Procurement Specialist

About the role

Magna is seeking a Materials Procurement Specialist to manage the flow of supplies needed for its automotive seating production. You will ensure that the right quantities of materials are available at the right time, while maintaining quality, cost control, and compliance with deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supply orders based on production forecasts and demand.
• Monitor stock levels, place orders with approved suppliers, and track deliveries.
• Handle returns, disputes, and any supply‑related issues.
• Update and maintain inventory management systems.
• Analyze supply needs, adjust orders, and ensure cost‑effective purchasing.
• Collaborate closely with the purchasing department and other functions such as maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain.
• Verify that all supplies meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac + 5) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Initial experience in procurement, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to evaluate suppliers on price, delivery time, and payment terms.
• High level of autonomy, rigor, and responsibility.
• Excellent French and English communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing setting with variable temperatures, noise, and occasional material handling.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
