M&E and Research Field Manager (Morocco)

About the role

STOOS Consulting is seeking an experienced Monitoring & Evaluation and Research Field Manager to lead field operations across Morocco. The role focuses on coordinating research and M&E assignments, securing local authorisations, managing field teams, and ensuring high‑quality data collection and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate household surveys, key informant interviews, focus groups, market assessments and third‑party monitoring activities.
• Obtain and follow up on required approvals and introduction letters at regional, provincial and local levels.
• Engage with local authorities, public institutions, NGOs, cooperatives and community leaders to facilitate access.
• Recruit, onboard and supervise enumerators, supervisors, interpreters and data‑quality personnel.
• Train field teams on research tools, sampling, informed consent, safeguarding and digital data collection platforms.
• Translate and culturally adapt tools into Arabic and French and support interpretation into local languages.
• Manage daily field logistics, transportation, accommodation and respondent mobilisation.
• Ensure data quality through spot checks, back‑checks, accompaniment visits and daily debriefings.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing field‑based M&E or research projects in Morocco or similar contexts.
• Strong knowledge of local administrative structures and ability to secure authorisations.
• Demonstrated capacity to recruit, train and supervise diverse field teams.
• Fluency in Arabic, French and English, with ability to adapt tools culturally.
• Experience working in urban, rural, mountainous, coastal and hard‑to‑reach areas.
