Medical Doctor

About the role

Mohammed V University in Rabat is recruiting a full-time, on-site Medical Doctor for the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region of Morocco. The doctor provides comprehensive patient care, from clinical assessments and diagnosis to treatment planning and follow-up, within an academic environment that supports clinical excellence and continuous professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments, diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
• Conduct consultations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications
• Take part in health education initiatives and support clinical training activities
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety efforts
• Maintain accurate medical records and stay current with advances in medical practice

Required profile

• Valid medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution and a current license to practice medicine in Morocco
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in assessment, diagnosis and treatment, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• High standards of professionalism, integrity and respect for patient confidentiality
• Ability to manage workload and respond appropriately in urgent or emergency situations
• Fluency in relevant working languages such as Arabic and/or French; English is a plus
• An advantage: experience in academic or teaching environments, research or public health initiatives

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems or relevant clinical software
