Medical Science Liaison – Neurosciences

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Neurosciences will lead scientific engagement with key Medical Experts, implement clinical and educational strategies, and respond promptly to unsolicited medical enquiries, supporting the overall neuroscience portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with Medical Experts (MEs) to provide up‑to‑date medical and scientific information, identify and map key accounts, and develop and execute strategic ME engagement plans that align with the country’s neuroscience strategy.
• Support Novartis clinical research programs by optimizing trial execution, offering scientific educational support to potential and active study sites, and collaborating closely with clinical operations teams.
• Facilitate Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs) upon investigator request, act as a medical resource for field matrix colleagues, and ensure timely reporting of technical complaints, adverse events, or special case scenarios within 24 hours.
• Distribute marketing samples where applicable and contribute to the achievement of annual medical activity targets while adhering to ethics and compliance policies.

Required profile

• A medical, pharmacy or life‑science degree (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent) with proven experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research or related scientific roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions, manage projects, and execute strategic initiatives, combined with a strong understanding of Medical Affairs governance, compliance and pharmacovigilance.
• Fluent communication skills in both English and French, enabling effective stakeholder engagement across diverse audiences.
