Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer will support the STRIDES project in Morocco, ensuring robust monitoring and evaluation processes are in place. The role involves training staff, collecting performance data, and contributing to the assessment of project impact.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and implement monitoring and evaluation systems for the STRIDES project.
• Train program staff on data collection, indicator tracking, and reporting in targeted geographic areas.
• Provide technical support and guidance to country‑office staff and partners.
• Draft technical work plans, manuals, and other project documents.
• Conduct literature and online searches to inform project design and share lessons learned.
• Support preparation of quarterly, annual, and ad‑hoc reports, including data analysis and visualization.
• Participate in client and funder meetings and assist with proposal development.
• Offer administrative support such as budget tracking and manual updates.

Required profile

• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning within health or development projects.
• Ability to train and build capacity of staff and partners.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data quality and reporting standards.
• Excellent written communication skills for technical reports and documentation.
