Onshore Document Controller (Rail Projects)

About the role

As an Onshore Document Controller you will be the primary point of contact for all document management activities onshore, supporting the offshore Document Manager and ensuring that project documentation meets contractual, customer and Siemens standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the onshore focal point for document management topics and ensure alignment with offshore processes.
• Perform formal checks on project documents (format, completeness, templates, numbering, metadata) before submission.
• Manage document versioning, status, traceability and coordinate submissions to customers and partners.
• Register, transmit and track documents in the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
• Support internal and external distribution, maintain the Project Document List and monitor workflow deadlines.
• Interface with engineering, project management, quality and configuration teams onshore.
• Provide status updates, track comments and approvals, and support audits and archiving.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in document control or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens and customer document standards.
• Ability to guide on document templates, naming conventions and workflows.
