Operations Excellence (OPEX) Lead – Continuous Improvement

About the role

The OPEX Responsible will lead continuous improvement initiatives across the plant, applying Lean, Six Sigma and other proven methodologies to drive efficiency, quality and cost savings. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, train employees and ensure the successful implementation of improvement plans.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and related frameworks.
• Identify improvement opportunities by analysing processes, data and stakeholder feedback.
• Develop, implement and monitor improvement plans with clear timelines, resources and success metrics.
• Train and coach team members on improvement tools and techniques.
• Facilitate cross‑functional problem‑solving sessions and ensure documentation such as process maps and standard work instructions is up to date.
• Collect and analyse performance data, produce reports and communicate progress to all levels of the organisation.
• Provide training for Alpla ERP operational tools, maintain data quality and represent plant CI performance to corporate.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, VSM, FMEA, TPM and visual management.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and French.

• Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (Green/Black Belt preferred).
• Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, FMEA, TPM, visual management.
• Data analysis and reporting tools.
• Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Power BI.
• Alpla ERP operational tools.
