Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager leads the execution and delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction projects across Morocco, ranging from residential and commercial buildings to hospitals, universities and industrial facilities. The role provides operational leadership, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, quality, safety and margin targets while maintaining consistent standards across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee mobilisation, execution and hand‑over of multiple construction projects, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, quality, safety and profitability.
• Lead weekly reviews with Project Managers, identify risks early and implement recovery plans.
• Standardise project management procedures, reporting dashboards and execution practices across sites.
• Manage mobilisation of manpower, equipment, materials and other resources, and allocate them across projects.
• Supervise equipment fleet, central warehousing, logistics and transportation, including procurement, maintenance and cost control.
• Review and approve construction methods (reinforced concrete, post‑tensioning, prefabrication, steel structures, formwork, scaffolding, façades) and coordinate MEP works (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, ELV, medical gases, clean rooms, labs).
• Monitor budgets, cost forecasts, variations, invoicing and collections.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance, lead incident investigations and enforce quality plans.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Civil, Construction, Building) or related field; Project Management certification or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a senior operational or project‑leadership role.
• Proven track record managing 4‑5 simultaneous projects of varied types, including hospitals and higher‑education facilities.
• Strong knowledge of the Moroccan construction environment and regulations.
• Fluent French and professional English; Arabic/Darija advantageous.

Required skills

• Construction methods: reinforced concrete, post‑tensioning, prefabrication, steel structures, formwork, scaffolding, lifting, building envelopes and façades.
• MEP coordination: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, ELV, medical gases, clean‑room and laboratory systems.
• Equipment fleet management, central warehousing and logistics operations.
• BIM proficiency (advantageous) and strong Microsoft Office skills.
