OSP Network Designer – Damascus Based

About the role

The OSP Network Designer will lead the design of civil and fiber‑optic infrastructure, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of engineering documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review site survey reports for civil and fiber infrastructure and validate documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve survey discrepancies and update inventory data.
• Develop civil and fiber‑optic network designs using survey data, technical specifications, and engineering guidelines.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings in QGIS/ArcGIS or similar tools, including layout plans and installation documentation.
• Generate and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to reflect all required materials, labor, and equipment.
• Maintain documentation of design changes, survey validations, and ensure submission within project timelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of telecommunications experience, with at least 5 years in design and engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• International experience in developed markets and strong command of English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GIS tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
• Experience using AutoCAD for engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of OSP processes, civil and fiber‑optic design standards, and local/national codes.
