Parts Technical Support Engineer

About the role

BIA Group sells, rents and provides after-sales services for equipment used in public works, mines, quarries and transport, and operates in Europe, Africa and Asia. This role supports mining and construction customers (internal and external) by providing parts-technical expertise on all BIA legacy brands, interpreting and reporting the results of technical analyses to internal customers and service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Technical Support Department by deploying technical support processes and ensuring compliance with its operating procedures.
• Maintain partnerships with OEM contacts and take part in analysing and archiving parts-technical queries.
• Process, interpret and communicate the results of technical analyses to the team, and support a monthly detailed technical report on queries and issues for the Parts-technical support manager or department head.
• Respond proactively to technical demands and follow up on files to meet parts-technical support KPIs.
• Carry out remote or on-site technical investigations of major issues, following the communication path between the local team, OEM and customers.
• Analyse and support the deployment of digital solutions such as Smartfleet and OEM programmes.
• Collect, consolidate, circulate and archive technical information, and support parts-claim recovery.

Required profile

• Degree in electromechanical engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience as a technical engineer.
• Fluent English and French; other languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of heavy machinery and HSE is a plus.
