About the role
The Ritz-Carlton Rabat is seeking a creative and experienced Pastry Chef to lead its pastry team. You will be responsible for producing high‑quality pastries for all outlets while maintaining consistency, guest satisfaction, and budgetary controls.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise the pastry culinary team on daily operations.
- Prepare and decorate pastries, desserts, and baked goods to the brand’s standards.
- Develop new pastry concepts and seasonal menus.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and storage regulations.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and waste control for the pastry department.
- Monitor labor and food costs to stay within the operating budget.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, flavor, and quality across all pastry items.
Required profile
- High school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of culinary experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel & Restaurant Management with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proven leadership ability in a high‑volume, upscale hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of pastry techniques, food safety, and portion control.
