About the role
We are looking for a skilled Pastry Cook to join our Food & Beverage team at our hotel in Rabat. The role focuses on preparing a variety of breads and pastries, ensuring high quality and consistency while adhering to safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare breads, pastries, doughs and fillings, including proofing, baking and decorating.
- Review daily production sheets to determine the range of baked goods required.
- Cook and plate food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain kitchen logs and ensure compliance with the food safety program.
- Monitor appliance temperatures and report any issues to management.
- Communicate excess inventory to the Chef for daily specials planning.
- Use baking tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bakery or pastry environment.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Baking and pastry preparation.
- Dough handling, proofing and decorating.
- Food safety and hygiene compliance.
- Operation of kitchen appliances and measuring equipment.
