About the role
AXA is looking for a strategic Physical Security Officer to lead and oversee physical security across the entire organization. The role combines strategic planning, daily operational management and crisis response to protect people, assets and business continuity.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and continuously update the Entity’s Physical Security Policy and Plans in line with Group guidelines.
- Ensure consistent application of security policies, procedures and best practices across all offices and operations.
- Lead daily physical security operations and coordinate with on‑site security teams.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits, identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and AXA security standards.
- Partner with HR, Crisis Management, Information Security and operational teams to ensure enterprise‑wide security coordination.
- Liaise with local authorities, law enforcement and security networks to stay informed of emerging threats.
- Coordinate with the Physical Security community across AXA regions to share best practices.
- Communicate security awareness and individual responsibilities to all employees.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for physical security during incidents and crises.
- Design and implement a comprehensive Travel Safety Plan, including risk assessments, pre‑travel briefings and insurance verification.
- Ensure all travelers complete mandatory Travel Risk Awareness training and maintain training records.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of employee and visitor travel details for emergency response.
- Conduct security assessments for corporate events and implement appropriate protective measures.
- Participate in the Health & Safety Committee and track, investigate and report on all physical security and H&S incidents.
- Manage incident response, support crisis management protocols and escalate suspicious activities to Internal Audit.
- Prepare routine reports for the CEO and Group Physical Security leadership in English.
- Maintain documentation, evidence and audit trails from security activities.
Required profile
- Proven experience in physical security management within a large, multi‑site organization.
- Strong knowledge of security policies, regulatory compliance and risk assessment methodologies.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and coordinate with HR, crisis management and information security.
- Experience in travel and event security planning and execution.
- Excellent communication skills in English for interaction with internal stakeholders and external authorities.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct audits, investigations and incident reporting.
