Physics & Chemistry Teacher – Secondary School

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Physics & Chemistry Teacher to join our secondary school team. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging science lessons, support student wellbeing, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to foster a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan lessons in advance, share plans with the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator.
• Prepare and organize class materials and maintain an up‑to‑date grade book.
• Design, administer and grade monthly assessments and all assigned work.
• Decorate the classroom with relevant educational materials and supervise playground duties.
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department to support students with academic, behavioral, or special‑needs issues.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, parent conferences, and school events.
• Record daily attendance, manage homework boards, and encourage student participation in extracurricular committees.
• Communicate openly with students, parents, and staff, and refer emotional or family concerns to the psychologist.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
• Advanced proficiency in English (spoken, reading, writing).
• Ability to work under pressure, strong organizational and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate‑level Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Basic competence with digital teaching tools.
