About the role

The Cost Pilot will lead cost management activities for advanced, serial or project programmes, ensuring that economic targets are met while maintaining optimal cost‑performance ratios. You will work closely with project partners, manufacturing, and purchasing to drive cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate all economic elements of the project and guarantee cost commitment.
• Structure cost‑management processes according to Job Share, Pay Share and RASI definitions.
• Monitor design against cost objectives to keep TPC‑Investment aligned with performance, quality, schedule and R&D goals.
• Produce economic reports, including TPC forecasts, expense status, and investment tracking.
• Define component cost targets for purchasing in line with global GPSC targets.
• Build and monitor risk and opportunity portfolios for project and serial life.
• Lead cost‑convergence plans and negotiate transformation cost contracts with manufacturing.
• Manage yearly investment and expense budgets, providing monthly breakdowns, forecasts and variance analyses.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Economics or a related field.
• 2‑5 years (preferably 5‑10 years) of experience in project cost management.
• Strong knowledge of PLM concepts.
• Proficiency in Excel for budgeting and reporting.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
