Planning Manager - PV Projects

About the role

This role is a Planning Manager for photovoltaic (PV) projects, working closely with the EPC contractor to develop the project schedule, monitor progress and prepare reports to the off-taker and AcwaPower. The position suits someone who enjoys field missions and is rigorous, methodical and organized.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and implement the PPA and EPC contracts in relation to planning and reporting.
• Support the business development team by verifying EPC contract appendices and documents used to define the schedule and key dates.
• With the EPC contractor, develop the Level 3 schedule and project control procedures, including WBS, progress curves, monthly and weekly updates and reporting.
• Monitor critical path activities, milestones and KPIs, and prepare Level 4 schedules and detailed registers for weekly progress.
• Review the EPC contractor's monthly progress report, focusing on contractual risks to the project or schedule.
• Prepare the monthly progress report for the off-taker, the monthly progress meeting presentations and the monthly reports to AcwaPower.
• In the event of an EOT claim, prepare and analyze the claims against the EPC and off-taker.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling of large projects, with at least 5 years in PV projects and one fully completed project; if PV experience cannot be shown, 10 years in conventional, oil and gas or other renewables is accepted.
• Mandatory EPC-side experience; developer/owner experience is welcome.
• Taste for field missions, collaborative and solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera Planning & Scheduling software.
• Project control tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
