Plant Director – Industrial Operations

About the role

The Plant Director will lead the operations of Nexans’ industrial site in Safi, driving performance, safety and profitability. Reporting to senior management, you will shape the strategic vision for the plant and ensure alignment with the Group’s industrial priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of employees and subcontractors by implementing and monitoring accident‑prevention action plans.
• Manage site operations, expenses and financial performance to meet budgetary and profit targets.
• Develop and communicate annual strategic plans covering investment, training and operational priorities.
• Guarantee customer satisfaction by meeting delivery deadlines and quality standards.
• Oversee industrial and financial performance indicators such as material flow, productivity, quality, work‑in‑process, inventory and cost variances.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to manage staffing, develop competencies and promote continuous learning.
• Lead continuous‑improvement programmes, deploy new methodologies and define breakthrough projects in technology, organization and management.
• Coordinate cross‑functional support functions, foster collaboration and manage external benchmarking partnerships.
• Maintain QHSE and product certifications, and develop environmental protection plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large‑scale industrial or manufacturing sites.
• Strong track record in safety management, financial control and operational excellence.
• Ability to develop and communicate strategic plans and drive their execution.
• Excellent leadership and people‑development skills, with experience managing multi‑skill teams.
• Commitment to environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance.
