Plant Director – Safi

About the role

The Plant Director will lead the operation of Nexans' industrial assets in Safi, driving customer satisfaction, operating profit and cash generation while ensuring the highest standards of employee safety. The role demands continuous pursuit of industrial excellence and alignment with the Group’s strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of employees and subcontractors by implementing accident‑prevention action plans.
• Manage site operations and expenses to meet financial performance targets.
• Develop and propose annual strategic plans for investment, training and other initiatives.
• Communicate annual operational and budgetary priorities to all employees.
• Guarantee customer satisfaction by meeting deadlines and delivering complete orders.
• Oversee industrial and financial performance, including materials, productivity, quality, WIP, inventory and cost variances.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to manage the site’s workforce and develop employee skills.
• Promote industrial excellence through best‑practice benchmarks, continuous‑improvement programs and new methodologies.
• Define and implement breakthrough projects in technology, organization and management.
• Improve the value chain to increase flexibility, reduce complexity and accelerate profit generation.
• Coordinate support functions, foster cross‑functional collaboration and engage external partners for benchmarking.
• Maintain QHSE and product certifications and develop environmental protection plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale industrial or manufacturing sites.
• Strong focus on safety, financial performance and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to develop and communicate strategic plans and investment programmes.
• Leadership skills to drive multi‑skilled teams and promote continuous improvement.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional support functions and external partners.
