Portfolio Performance Intern

About the role

As a Portfolio Performance Intern you will join Africa50’s Finance team in Casablanca and support the Portfolio team in monitoring and reporting on the fund’s infrastructure investments across Africa. You will gain hands‑on experience collecting and validating financial and operational data, preparing performance dashboards and researching market trends that affect the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, consolidate, validate and maintain financial, operational and investment data for portfolio monitoring, valuation and reporting.
• Update portfolio databases, KPI trackers, dashboards and reporting templates.
• Research industry, market and macro‑economic developments impacting Africa50’s portfolio.
• Prepare portfolio reports and presentation materials for Management, the Investment Committee and the Board.
• Coordinate with Investment, Finance and other teams to resolve information requests and data gaps.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc portfolio analysis, process improvements and other finance assignments.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, engineering or a related field.
• Strong academic record with demonstrated interest in investments, corporate finance or infrastructure.
• Previous internship, project work or coursework in private equity, investment banking, asset management, consulting or financial analysis is a plus.
• High integrity, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
