Postdoc in Sustainable Hydrometallurgy

About the role

The Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering department (CBS) of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in hydrometallurgy. The goal is to develop sustainable recycling processes for the separation and recovery of valuable and critical metals from various waste streams. The work covers both basic model systems and more applied ones.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse experimental data, interpret results and help develop new hypotheses and research directions
• Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within the department and with external partners

Required profile

• Doctoral degree or equivalent foreign degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or hydrometallurgy
• Strong research record with publications in reputable international journals
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; French is a plus
• Proven ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and external partners

Required skills

• Expertise in hydrometallurgy, and/or flotation, precipitation, etc.
• Strong laboratory and instrumental skills
• Analytical approach
