Postdoctoral Researcher – Functional Materials for Fertilizer Development

About the role

The Materials Science, Energy, and Nano‑engineering (MSN) department at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks a motivated postdoctoral researcher to develop new, customized fertilizers using green technologies. The position involves independent and collaborative research aimed at delivering innovative functional materials for sustainable agriculture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, synthesize, and characterize functional materials tailored for fertilizer applications.
• Conduct experimental research following green‑technology principles to create customized fertilizer solutions.
• Prepare progress reports for funding bodies and publish findings in high‑impact scientific journals.
• Supervise master’s and PhD students, providing guidance on experimental methods and data analysis.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners, building networks relevant to the project.
• Assist in drafting research proposals and contribute to the continuous improvement of the research environment.

Required profile

• PhD in polymer science, materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, fertilizer science, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct high‑quality experimental research.
• Experience supervising graduate students is an advantage.
