Postdoctoral Researcher in Philosophy of Science

About the role

The Arabic Classical Philosophy and Philosophy of Sciences Center (ACPPS), hosted within UM6P Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in philosophy of science. The research should be situated in fields suited to the center, in historical or contemporary issues of philosophy of science, preferably with an interest in African or classical Arabic epistemic contexts; general or specific research projects are both welcome. The post lasts 12 months and can be renewed once.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct your own research
• Organize a workshop
• Take part in the ACPPS seminar
• Collaborate with members of the ACPPS
• Highly encouraged: take part in conferences and assist with teaching where applicable

Required profile

• PhD in Philosophy or a related field such as philosophy of science, history of science or Islamic philosophy
• English; knowledge of other languages relevant to the project is desirable
