Postdoctoral Researcher – Molecular Plant Physiology

About the role

The Plant Physiology Laboratory at UM6P is looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join its Plant Stress Physiology team. You will investigate molecular mechanisms that drive plant responses to environmental stress, integrating molecular biology, physiology, and omics approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to dissect molecular and physiological processes in model and/or crop plants.
• Apply proteomics and metabolomics techniques to characterize stress‑induced changes.
• Analyze plant phenotypes under controlled and stress conditions.
• Present results at scientific conferences and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory.
• Contribute to grant writing and project development.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Plant Physiology, or a related discipline.
• Strong background in molecular biology techniques.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proven record of publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
