Postdoctoral Researcher – Non‑Thermal Plasma Hydrogen Production

About the role

The Applied Chemistry and Engineering Research Center of Excellence (ACER‑CoE) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks a motivated postdoctoral researcher to advance non‑thermal plasma‑based hydrogen production. The successful candidate will explore innovative plasma‑driven pathways for sustainable H₂ generation, both with and without catalytic materials.

Key responsibilities

• Design, set up and operate non‑thermal plasma reactors for hydrogen synthesis.
• Investigate the role of plasma‑generated reactive species and catalytic interfaces in H₂ production.
• Perform experimental measurements, data analysis and develop mechanistic models.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members in chemistry, physics and engineering.
• Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.

Required profile

• PhD in plasma physics, chemical engineering, energy science or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with plasma processes, hydrogen generation or catalysis.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
