Postdoctoral Researcher – Renewable Energy & Water Harvesting

About the role

The Energy4Water (E4W) laboratory at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University is hiring two postdoctoral researchers to advance renewable‑energy‑driven water production. The role focuses on developing and optimizing condensation‑based and sorption‑based water harvesting systems powered by solar thermal and other clean energy sources.

Key responsibilities

• Design and model advanced water harvesting systems that combine condensation, sorption, or hybrid thermal processes.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, prototype fabrication, and field trials across different climatic conditions.
• Analyse material‑system interactions, including adsorbents, thermal interfaces and condensation surfaces.
• Develop and refine simulation models and predictive tools for system performance and scalability.
• Prepare scientific publications and present results at international conferences.
• Collaborate with academic, industrial and institutional partners to translate research into real‑world applications.

Required profile

• PhD in thermal sciences, energy systems, water technologies or a closely related field.
• Strong background in experimental research and numerical modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary, sustainability‑oriented teams.
