Process Safety & Environmental Engineer

About the role

Sentinel Earth is developing an industrial facility in the Rabat region and needs a qualified professional to ensure the site is safe and environmentally compliant from day one. You will own the safety and environmental discipline, develop procedures, monitor performance, and keep management informed.

Key responsibilities

• Write, update and maintain the site’s safety and environmental procedures.
• Maintain a daily on‑site presence for inspections, contractor supervision, training and exercising stop‑work authority.
• Operate the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and lead the environmental monitoring programme.
• Identify, report and drive closure of anomalies, near‑misses and non‑conformities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly safety and environmental reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Ingénieur d'État or master’s) in Process, Chemical, Environmental or Industrial Safety Engineering from a top school.
• 4–8 years of experience in HSE or process safety within chemical, cement, waste‑treatment, incineration or energy industries.
• Proven experience designing and running safety and environmental management systems.
• Strong knowledge of Moroccan environmental and workplace safety regulations.
• Fluent in Arabic, French and English (minimum B2 level).
• Willing to be based in or relocate to the Rabat region.
