Production Deputy Manager

About the role

The Production Deputy Manager will support the Production Manager in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring targets, schedules and quality standards are met. This role involves coordinating teams, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement within an automotive manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in planning, organizing and supervising daily production operations.
• Supervise production teams, allocate manpower and resources effectively.
• Monitor productivity, efficiency and operational KPIs, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Engineering, Logistics and other departments.
• Participate in production and workforce planning based on business needs.
• Analyze production data and prepare performance reports for management.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Train, coach and develop supervisors and team leaders.
• Act as Production Manager in their absence.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5‑10 years of experience in production management or a similar supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead and develop production teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
