Production Supervisor – Shift Operations

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking a Shift Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team during a designated shift. The role ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality production while meeting key performance indicators such as OEE, yield, and scrap rates.

Key responsibilities

• Execute production plans according to priorities and operational procedures.
• Monitor daily output, track OEE, yield, scrap and cycle time, and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate shift activities, manage handovers, and allocate manpower based on workload.
• Lead, coach and motivate operators and technicians, ensuring attendance and shop‑floor discipline.
• Enforce quality standards, react to deviations, and support non‑conformity investigations.
• Maintain strict safety compliance, promote a safety culture, and stop production when risks arise.
• Provide first‑level troubleshooting, coordinate with Maintenance, Process Engineering and Quality, and follow escalation procedures.
• Participate in Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, SMED, standard work) to reduce downtime, scrap and rework.
• Prepare and submit shift reports documenting production performance.

Required profile

• Junior engineering background with strong leadership potential.
• Willingness to develop in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to coordinate teams, manage shift handovers and ensure compliance with safety and quality rules.

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kaizen, SMED, standard work).
• First‑level troubleshooting of process and equipment issues.
• Basic knowledge of production metrics such as OEE, yield and scrap.
