Professor in Bioinformatics

About the role

The College of Computing at the University of Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) in Benguerir, Morocco, is seeking a professor in bioinformatics/computational biology. Successful applicants will join a research program in bioinformatics, develop their own research track within the bioinformatics laboratory, collaborate with investigators across health and agriculture sciences, teach courses and mentor students.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computer science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of postdoctoral research experience in bioinformatics or equivalent.
• Track record of high-quality publications in ranked journals.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is particularly valued: computational genomics or metagenomics, integration of omics data, plant bioinformatics, medical bioinformatics, drug discovery.
