Project Buyer (M/F) – Project Purchasing Specialist

About the role

The Project Buyer joins the project team to drive all purchasing activities throughout the project lifecycle, from initial sourcing plan to project closure. You will work closely with the Project Manager, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Attend project meetings and support all purchasing‑related activities (NPA, PRKF, Sourcing Plan, PSC, PMC, IAR, TOGO, FDPR, ISVA, SOP).
• Prepare and confirm sourcing plans, define PTM commitments and manage pre‑SoCo (RFQ) and SoCo (award) processes.
• Select supplier bid‑lists, identify critical parts, and coordinate supplier design reviews.
• Use PuMa and SAP to run RFQ processes, live or online auctions, and maintain up‑to‑date sourcing milestones.
• Assess supplier risk (capacity, technical, financial) and propose mitigation actions.
• Escalate issues to appropriate organisational levels and ensure timely sign‑off for auction events.
• Collaborate with productivity buyers to forecast purchasing indices and create early open orders in SAP.
• Define communication flows, store all project and supplier documentation in PuMa, and support transfer to serial production.

Required profile

• Strong experience in project‑based purchasing or procurement.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage complex supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills for risk assessment and mitigation planning.
• Proactive attitude with the capacity to anticipate issues and drive solutions.
