Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to lead high‑quality technical projects in water and wastewater treatment across the North & West Africa region. You will work closely with sales, customers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery from concept to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan and execute engineering projects for water and wastewater treatment applications.
• Collaborate with sales and customers from discovery through full project development.
• Lead contract negotiations, logistics, delivery, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor equipment testing and assembly at supplier or customer sites.
• Prepare technical documentation such as data sheets, specifications, RFQs, drawings, O&M manuals, scope of work, method statements, risk assessments, and maintenance protocols.
• Coordinate with Project Support, Service Technicians, and DBI partners (Design, Build & Install).
• Participate in trials, start‑ups, and provide training and technical support to sales teams and customers.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and submit regular project status reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of field experience in water/wastewater projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers, sales teams, contractors, and operations staff.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local engineering regulations.
• Willingness to travel extensively (50%+).
• Fluent in English and French, with proficiency in the local language.
