Proxy Product Owner

About the role

We are seeking a Proxy Product Owner to act as the liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams. In this role you will support the primary Product Owner by ensuring that requirements are well‑defined, the backlog is properly managed, and that business objectives are aligned with technical delivery within an Agile framework.

Key responsibilities

• Bridge communication between business stakeholders and development teams.
• Assist the Product Owner with backlog prioritisation, refinement and grooming.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Validate delivered features against functional expectations and quality standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams to clarify requirements and resolve functional queries.
• Monitor progress and support delivery to ensure timely, high‑quality releases.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong understanding of business analysis and product lifecycle management.
• Ability to write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and functional documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools.
