Purchasing Specialist – Procurement & Vendor Management

About the role

DeFacto is seeking a proactive Purchasing Specialist to manage end‑to‑end procurement across multiple business units, including construction, IT, marketing, logistics and HR. You will ensure cost‑effective sourcing, negotiate contracts, and support the rapid expansion of our retail network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement for new store openings, renovations and facility management, sourcing suppliers for lighting, furniture, HVAC and maintenance services.
• Oversee local sourcing of packaging materials such as paper bags and cardboard boxes, maintaining a reliable supply chain.
• Manage the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software purchases, including licensing, SaaS subscriptions and vendor selection.
• Coordinate marketing and communications procurement, handling influencer collaborations, advertising agency tenders and branding material purchases.
• Conduct market research and negotiate contracts for logistics, fleet management, recruitment agencies and general administrative supplies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in procurement and vendor management.
• Experience with retail store openings, construction projects, marketing, IT and operational consumables is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in English, French and Arabic.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical thinking abilities.
• Proven expertise in contract management, tender processes and cost analysis.
