Quality Engineer

About the role

As a Quality Engineer at Lear Corporation, you will act as the primary liaison between the plant and the customer‑site quality representatives. You will drive the resolution of customer‑reported quality issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with quality management practices across production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Establish direct contact with customer‑site resident quality representatives to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Communicate quality issues to the plant and participate in the preparation and review of Control Plans and PFMEA.
• Lead multidisciplinary problem‑solving meetings and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Organize awareness and training activities related to quality.
• Plan internal audits, manage non‑conformities, and verify effectiveness of actions.
• Monitor quality indicators such as LMQM, RPPM, DPPM, and WC.
• Maintain visual communication boards on production lines and serve as the interface with the customer site.
• Support production and engineering teams in root‑cause analysis using the 8D methodology.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5), Engineer diploma, or equivalent qualification.
• Preferably experience in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in both French and English.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Quality Core Tools.
• Problem‑solving methodologies (including 8D).
• Control Plan development and implementation.
• Knowledge of quality indicators (LMQM, RPPM, DPPM, WC).
