Quality Technician – Sewing

About the role

The Quality Technician – Sewing ensures that the start‑up process of the sewing line meets Magna’s quality standards. You will actively participate in quality meetings, manage non‑conformities, and support both internal and customer‑driven quality initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and validate the team’s start‑up process.
• Prepare inputs and actively participate in quality meetings.
• Manage internal non‑conformities: analyse, resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
• Handle customer returns: conduct analysis, implement and monitor action plans.
• Monitor internal degraded modes and coordinate supplier defect management.
• Participate in and conduct internal audits (product, process, 5S, PDS, workstation) and follow up on action plans.
• Contribute to preparation and monitoring of customer and certification audits.
• Maintain and update plant quality indicators and display results.

Required profile

• High School Diploma with a Technician or Specialized Technician diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in quality tools.
• Basic technical knowledge of sewing processes.
• Strong command of MS Office.
• Preferably 2 years of experience in a similar position.
