R&D Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Join TE Connectivity’s R&D Manufacturing Engineering team to develop innovative manufacturing solutions that support new product development and optimise existing production lines. You will work closely with product development, R&D and production teams to ensure manufacturability, drive smart-manufacturing initiatives and deliver prototypes and sample equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling and automation platforms for new and existing products.
• Lead implementation of smart-manufacturing and agile methodologies, including platform standardisation and Generic Technical Specifications.
• Collaborate with R&D to align product designs with manufacturing capabilities and support smooth production ramp-up.
• Manage CAD models in Creo Parametric and maintain data in PDM-Link, providing system administration support.
• Design pneumatic systems using SMC Pneudraw or E-Plan and integrate automation and vision solutions.
• Coordinate equipment testing, analysis and documentation to ensure production readiness.
• Work with suppliers and internal partners on machine projects, cost estimation and resource planning.
• Prepare technical manuals, documentation and contribute to LeanPD projects.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, tooling design and process optimisation.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to lead technical workshops and feasibility studies.
