R&D Process Engineer – Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence)

About the role

The FAB Team is expanding its group‑wide R&D capabilities and seeks an R&D Process Engineer with deep expertise in Atlassian tools. You will help standardise, automate and govern software delivery processes across multiple Lines of Business in a predominantly English‑speaking, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and configure Jira (projects, workflows, schemes, permissions, custom fields) and ensure consistent usage across the group.
• Design, implement and maintain harmonised Jira processes, leveraging AI‑powered features to improve issue quality, workflow optimisation and self‑service support.
• Support and coach teams on Jira best practices, driving simplification, automation and consistency.
• Understand and evolve end‑to‑end software development processes, including work‑item creation, traceability with GitHub, and lifecycle tracking from backlog to production release.
• Define, document and maintain release processes, promoting data‑driven and AI‑based insights for delivery efficiency.
• Design and administer integrations between Jira/Confluence and other systems.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, Release Management and Product teams, and produce clear documentation in Confluence.

Required profile

• Solid hands‑on experience with Jira functional administration, workflows, permissions and reporting.
• Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Working knowledge of source‑code management tools such as GitHub.
• Experience with automation and AI‑assisted capabilities within the Atlassian ecosystem.
